Our Christmas Home Tour

This is easily one of my most requested posts and I am SO excited to finally share our full Christmas home tour. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning all the small details of our modern Farmhouse and I can’t wait to take you through every room.

For me, decorating is so much more than just the decorations. It’s about creating a space that will be the haven for all of our memories. It’s about bringing warmth into the corners of our living spaces and cultivating an atmosphere of joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of our guests.

And there is something real special about bringing it all together during the holidays. With that, let’s dive in!

Christmas Home: The Front Porch

Shop my porch:

Visiting our home begins with stepping through the front porch so I definitely prioritize giving it some love each season, even if it’s a few small touches here and there.

I repurposed our buffalo plaid rug from Fall to add depth to our Christmas welcome mat and paired it with an easy faux floral arrangement. The floral inserts and galvanized tub were purchased from Hobby Lobby on sale! These small touches make a huge difference in bringing together a festive theme in the home and I love that even a few repurposed pieces of decor can do the trick!

Electric Fireplace Stove: SHOP HERE

I am probably going to say this about a lot of the rooms in our Christmas home tour, but this one might be my favorite. Mostly because we got creative with a way to bring some warmth to this corner with our new electric fireplace stove that I have been drooling over for weeks. This electric fireplace is the PERFECT addition to any small space and it truly does add to the festive and cozy atmosphere we are striving to curate in our home. Shop it here on SALE!

We also decided to invest in a second Christmas tree for our front room to fill the space and bring my lifelong dream of having a tree sparkling in the window come to life! I love how just a few statement pieces are needed to bring together a space and make it cozy enough to cuddle up in all season long.

Our Christmas-Inspired Living Room

I definitely poured the most time into this room. I had a vision for it when we first moved in and it turned out even better than I expected. I wanted to pull in neutral, earthy tones this year and stick to a true white and green color palette. I think this really pulls out a modern cabin vibe and I am in LOVE.

I wanted the focus of this space to be the mantle, where many nights will be spent snuggled up by. I weaved a beautiful pinecone garland through some hooks under our mantle shelf and brought just a few simple touches together on top. I didn’t want to overload the space and take away from it’s natural beauty so I kept it as simple as possible.

The built-in shelf off to the side is where I had the most fun. I snagged a few packs of wooden villages from the Target dollar-bin and used those to create a minimal, modern village. After lining them with a strand of simple fairy lights, they quickly became the statement piece of this corner. I kept the rest of the shelves pretty simple with a Hobby Lobby sign, faux tree, candles, birchwood logs, and of course some practical white baskets to keep the clutter tucked away.

This is definitely where most of the snuggling up to watch festive movies will be happening this season, and I am not mad about it!

Bringing Christmas to the Table: Our Dining Room

I never thought we would have a formal dining room but it has quickly become one of my favorite rooms in the whole house. This part of the Christmas home tour is special because I am already envisioning all of the holiday family dinners spent at this table over good food & great company. With that, I wanted to bring a festive touch to the table that would make time spent here all the more special. I decided to keep with the neutral tones in this space too so that it would stay clean and simple – perfect for practical use but still festive enough to bring some Christmas spirit to the room!

I weaved a simple garland through the center of the table and dressed it up with mini Christmas trees, scented pinecones and tapered candlesticks all on top of a gorgeous table runner. I then layered our stoneware dinner and salad plates with some plaid napkins and topped them off with mini-wreaths to add the perfect Christmas touch.

I also change out the floating shelves on the back wall with festive decor for each season. Again, I kept it simple with just a few pieces of greenery, gold accents, and a small wooden sign.

Our Coffee Bar

Shop this hutch:

Christmas-inspired coffee bars are popular every year and it’s definitely one of my favorite trends. This is such a fun way to dress up your dining hutch and make it a perfect corner for guests to brew up some coffee, hot cocoa, warm cider or tea! We have our dining hutch in the same space as our breakfast nook so it’s a great way to start all the festive mornings.

All I did here was add a few pincone and birchwood fillers to our cake stand, line the cabinets with garland and fairy lights, and sprinkle a few Target dollar bin finds to the shelves to bring a cozy vibe to this corner. I love how it turned out!

Our Festive Master-Bedroom

Shop our bedroom:

I didn’t do too much to our bedroom this year mostly because I wanted the focus to be in our main living / hosting rooms. But I did want to bring a small bit of Christmas magic to our mornings spent snuggled up in bed and our late-nights watching festive movies in this space.

The set of three flocked trees you see off to the corner are hands-down one of my favorite purchases this season. I snagged them from Wal-Mart under $50 and the quality is incredible for the price. I may need to snag a few more next year!

We also invested in a few new pillows this season that we will definitely be using into the New Year as well! Acorn Pillows custom-made us the most perfect linen lumbar pillow-cover and Cadia Sleep brought a whole new level of cozy to our bed with their new adjustable pillows (p.s. you can save 20% with code “AWAKENMYSOUL” when shopping the Cadia pre-sale!)

I also added a festive tray with a sprinkle of Christmas touches perfect for when the bed is made or sitting off to the side on our dresser. I love that it didn’t take much to bring Christmas to this room, keeping it functional and cozy!

That’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed this up close look at our Christmas-inspired home.
